Cilantro Garlic Sauce
A bright, herb-forward sauce with fresh cilantro, garlic, and yogurt, balanced with citrus and a touch of acidity. Smooth, versatile, and easy to pair with vegetables, proteins, or grain bowls.
Serves: about 2 cups | Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: none
Ingredients
2–4 garlic cloves
1½ cups fresh cilantro leaves, packed
1 cup plain yogurt (Greek or regular)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1–2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon white vinegar
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
Add the garlic, cilantro, lime juice, vinegar, and olive oil to a blender or food processor. Blend until finely chopped and mostly smooth.
Add the yogurt and blend again until fully combined and creamy.
Taste and adjust with additional lime juice if needed for brightness.
Chill for 10–15 minutes before serving for the best flavor.
Cook’s Note
For a thinner consistency, add a small splash of water. For a richer texture, use Greek yogurt. Start with fewer garlic cloves and increase to taste to keep the flavors balanced.
