Juicy Turkey Burgers with Garlic & Lemon
Juicy turkey burgers that stay tender and flavorful, with garlic and lemon adding brightness. Light seasoning keeps the flavors clean and balanced.
Serves: 4 | Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 10–12 minutes
Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
1 small shallot, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp chili powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp olive oil
Freshly ground black pepper
Optional: lettuce, tomato, buns for serving
Instructions
Place the ground turkey in a bowl and add the shallot, garlic, chili powder, lemon juice, olive oil, and black pepper.
Gently mix until just combined. Do not overwork the mixture.
Divide into four portions and shape into patties about ¾ inch thick.
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat.
Cook the patties for about 5–6 minutes on one side until browned, then turn and cook for another 4–6 minutes until fully cooked through.
Let the burgers rest for a few minutes before serving.
Cook’s Note:
Avoid overmixing the meat to keep the burgers tender.
Turkey burgers should be fully cooked, but removing them promptly helps prevent dryness.
A light brush of olive oil before cooking can help keep them moist.
