Garlic-Infused Cauliflower
Cauliflower is gently cooked and finished with warm garlic-infused olive oil for a clean, balanced side with layered flavor.
Serves: 4 | Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
1 tablespoon olive oil
2–3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
Bring a pot of water to a boil and place a steamer basket over it.
Add the cauliflower, cover, and steam for 6–8 minutes until tender but still slightly firm.
While the cauliflower is steaming, heat the olive oil over low heat. Add the garlic and cook gently for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Do not brown.
Transfer the cauliflower to a serving bowl.
Pour the garlic-infused oil over the cauliflower and toss gently to coat.
Add the black pepper and toss again.
Sprinkle with parsley if using and serve immediately.
Cook’s Note
For deeper flavor and texture, the cauliflower can be roasted instead of steamed. Spread on a baking sheet and roast at 400°F until lightly golden, then finish with the garlic-infused oil.
